The Calendar of Kandalur (First Draft)

 

The calendar of Kandalur is unique.  The people track years differently. 

 

Each century is referred to as an 'Age'.  They are tracked not by numbers but by objects.  Currently, we are in the Age of the Star. 

 

Decades are called 'Wheels'.  Currently, we are in the Fourth Wheel (fourth decade) of the Age of the Star. 

 

Months are referred to as 'Times' of the year.  The times of the year are:

 

• Dawn of the World

• First Light

• First Sow

• Astral Rain

• Second Sow

• Life of the World

• Sun's Sky

• First Harvest

• Last Harvest

• Gathering Storm

• Last Light

• Eve of the World

 

A week is referred to as a 'Cycle' and each Time of the year has three to six cycles.  Each cycle is comprised of 7 days:

 

• Day of the Sun

• Day of the Moon

• Day of the Earth

• Day of the Wind

• Day of the Air

• Day of the Fire

• Day of the Star
